There’s a whole load of chat at this time of year about making plans, resolutions and goals for the future. These things are all well and good, but for most of us, thinking about where we want to be and what we want to do is pretty damn hard. Is the fact that it’s a new year (as well as a new decade) actually making you feel anxious because if you’re honest with yourself, you’re a little lost and confused right now? If this sounds like you, then keep reading.

As much as our Instagram feeds will make us think that everyone else has life completely sorted, we all know deep down that this isn’t the case. It’s sad to say, but I used to start each year with an underlying feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach. I’d feel depleted of energy (way too much drinking and lack of sleep throughout December, and generally), unhappy and unfulfilled in my work, confused, and lost because I knew I wanted something more, something different, but had no clue what that was and where I should focus to try and start making the change I craved.

Since then, I’ve done a lot of soul searching, a shit tonne of reflection on what makes me feel good (and what’s just padding for my ego), I got brutally honest with myself (and those close to me), and I’ve worked hard to establish healthy boundaries in my life. These experiences, mistakes, and learnings are exactly why this year, I’m not only starting 2020 feeling calm and content, but I’ve decided to host a workshop to help you get really clear on what you want and where you want to focus your energy.

My Clarity + Focus Workshop takes place on Saturday 15th February at the unique and tranquil Benk + Bo in Shoreditch, East London. I’ve thought long and hard about every detail for this event, and I hope that the love, care and passion will come through from the minute you buy your ticket. I’ve developed this workshop so that you will leave feeling more confident, supported, heard, and understood. I want you to feel like you’ve been part of something really special and personal…think candles, slow beats, herbal teas, compassion, and warmth.

This workshop is for you if…

  • You feel stuck in the day to day. You want more but have no idea what that looks like.

  • You’ve just had a baby and now you want different things, but you don’t know what those things are.

  • You’ve reached a point in your career that you’ve always been striving for and now you’re there it just doesn’t feel as good as you thought it would – it’s not fulfilling a deeper part of you.

  • You’ve become sober and don’t know where to direct this newfound time and energy.

There will be three parts to the day…

  • Opening up to yourself – we’ll work through individual and group exercises to delve into who you are and what’s important to you including exercises to help you connect with your consciousness and bring you into the moment, activities to help you articulate who you are and acknowledge all the parts of yourself (not just the things you’re happy to celebrate about yourself). There will be the opportunity for reflection, discussion and sharing with the wider group to help you feel connected and supported.

  • Embracing your wants and desires - articulating what we want can often be challenging but it’s a vital step in living a healthy and happy life. This part of the day will focus on tools and techniques you can use in your everyday to help you open up to people and communicate who you really are in a non-threatening way. We’ll also spend time exploring and discussing boundaries and barriers in our lives – how these two things might be playing out currently for you and how to shift the dial so you’re getting what you need from those around you.

  • Action planning – the final part of the day will be spent thinking about simple and achievable things you want to implement, action, or maybe stop doing as a result of the personal insight you’ve gathered during the earlier part of the day.

Before attending you’ll be sent some activities to work through on your own that we can discuss during the day, you’ll also receive a reading list to take away so you can delve a little deeper if you want to.

I’m also offering everyone who attends my workshop a complimentary 1.5-hour one-to-one coaching call with me following the event. And if that’s not enough to whet your appetite then I don’t know what is!

If this sounds like it’s for you then reach out to me if you have any questions by emailing hello@amyhouldey.com or you can get your ticket here.
