My story so far...
I don’t do surface-level fixes, corporate jargon, or engagement strategies that look good on paper but fail in practice. I help leaders and organisations challenge outdated ways of thinking and create meaningful change—because I’ve lived through the flaws of the systems I now help others break free from.
For over a decade, I worked as an employee engagement and communications specialist for global companies with big budgets and even bigger blind spots. I led internal engagement strategies for some of the world’s most recognised organisations, helping leaders connect with employees in a way that felt authentic, human, and impactful. But over time, I saw firsthand how many of these strategies were performative—more about optics than real change. I hit a breaking point, stepped away from the corporate world, and rebuilt my career on my own terms.
Now, I work with forward-thinking organisations and leaders who want to do things differently. I blend my MSc in Psychology (Distinction) with 17 years of experience across employee engagement, internal communications, organisational behaviour, and qualitative research. My career has taken me across industries—from pharma and local government to oil & gas, property, and consumer goods—giving me deep insights into how different workplaces function (and where they fall short).
Where I’ve Made an Impact
Leading a global culture and ways-of-working evolution at Roche’s Pharma International commercial business (12,000 employees worldwide), creating an environment where employees felt confident in the company’s future—empowering them to work with agility, innovation, and a competitive mindset.
Consulting with BP, launching a global diversity & inclusion campaign across 49 countries and developing an Ally’s Toolkit for discussing gender and sexuality in the workplace.
Partnering with Pfizer & Novartis while at Hill & Knowlton to transform internal communications through strategic storytelling.
Editing Upfield’s global employee newsletter, ensuring a diverse and engaging voice for the world’s largest plant-based consumer products company.
Running qualitative research for Tameside Council to shape a place marketing strategy based on real audience perceptions and aspirations.
Developing a borough-wide recycling campaign for Sutton Council, influencing behavioral change through engaging storytelling and creative strategy.
These experiences have shaped my ability to cut through corporate noise and get to the heart of what truly engages people. I don’t believe in engagement for engagement’s sake—I believe in helping leaders build work cultures that actually work for people.
What Makes Me Different?
🔹 I’ve been on both sides. I know what it’s like to be inside organisations struggling with engagement, and I know what it takes to fix it from the outside.
🔹 I challenge, I question, I rethink. I don’t follow trends—I dig deep into human behaviour and psychology to create strategies that actually make a difference.
🔹 I bring warmth and realness. Work doesn’t have to be soulless. I create human-first strategies that balance impact with authenticity.
Beyond Work…
When I’m not working with clients, I’m a writer, mother to a fiercely curious six-year-old, and life partner to Ollie. I’m always learning - because there’s always more to learn. I’m an ENFJ-T personality type (The Protagonist), an Aries, and a firm believer in early nights and long baths.
If you’re ready to challenge the way your organisation thinks about work, leadership, and engagement, let’s talk.
